THE ASHTANGA YOGA LAB WORKSHOP was created in 2013. Its intention was to gather yoga enthusiasts of all aspects who seek clarity, guidance, and an open and safe space to explore on their yoga journey.Although this workshop is Ashtanga based, do always remember this; the postures, transitions, techniques, discipline, are NOT exclusively Ashtanga. Only perhaps the fixed sequences (the order of things). Even the word Ashtanga has different meanings.
There will be 5 sessions over 3 days with a total of 15hrs to complete. For NON-ASHTANGA practitioners, All Led Classes are optional.
We will take an in-depth look into all aspects of the practice from Standing in Tadanasa (Samasthiti) and back to the same pose at the end. Learning how and when to take modifications is an essential aspect of progress. It indicates your mental and emotional growth displaying body intelligence.
At the end of the day, the key takeaway is that practitioners take away some knowledge / workshop tools to help them facilitate the flow of their practice.
If you are attending via Zoom, props you will need are 2 blocks, a yoga strap, a face towel, and a smooth floor.
I look forward to share all of the knowledge and skills I’ve garnered over 22 years of experience with you in November. This is the 4th time I’ve held Ashtanga Lab in Singapore and this last one have been postponed long enough. We will be keeping our safe-distance measures in check so number of students will be limited.
