Slide the heels of your feet backward until you feel that your whole body—from head to toe—is in a straightly lengthened position. Hold this position for 5-8 breaths.
High lunge pose
From the plank pose, reach one foot forward as you bend its knee, placing it between your hands. Reach your arms up towards the ceiling to lengthen your upper body straight. Ensure that your back leg is also straight while the other is still bent forward. At this point, the muscles in your lower body must be engaged. Maintain this position for 8 breaths before going back to the plank pose. Repeat the same cycle to the other leg.
