This class allows you to specialise in hot yoga after attending our yoga teacher school in Singapore. This course helps you gain familiarity with hot yoga as a teacher.

Marian
Marian started as a practitioner in both the 60 and 90-minute Hot 26 Yoga sequence in 2013 for 2 years, before moving on to teach various types of yoga, including the Hot 26 sequence since 2015 till now. Coming from the perspective of a student experiencing the poses, then as a teacher delivering the sequence and watching different bodies practise, she has arrived at her own unique take and understanding of the poses and practice, while still honouring the originality of the poses. With this 20-hour CET, she aims to help various practitioner and potential teacher profiles own and develop their personal style to the practice while maintaining its integrity.
Day 1 (3hr)
- Intro to Hot 26 (sequence, conditions for class, rationale, 60min vs 90min practice)
- Watch video of full sequence
- Breakdown of sequence into sets: 1) Preparation Set, 2) Standing Balancing Set , 3) Wide Legged Set, 4) Hip Opening Balancing Set, 5) Supine Set, 6) Back Strengthening Set, 7) Backbending Set, 8) Seated Cooling Down Set
- Purpose of the various Savasanas in Hot 26: Active Savasana, Reverse Savasana, Full Savasana
- Purpose of Strong Sit-Up and Belly Pumping Breath in Hot 26
- Basic anatomy
The following days focus on each set in detail, covering:
- Sanskrit and English names of poses
- Verbal cues (standard script vs adding your own cues progressively)
- Common misalignment points
- Connection between sets; connection between poses
- Understanding potential full activation with adjustments from peers
- Questions and perspectives
- Practise of respective set in heated room to end each session except for Day 6 where full practice will be delivered by Marian

- Full 60-min practice in heated room co-delivered by students (each will be pre-assigned one or more sets to teach)

Certificate of Completion
Display your certificate after completion of your Hot-26 training. Show the yoga world, place it on your yoga resume, put it right outside your own Hot yoga practice.
