Our Yoga Teacher
Shan
Registered yoga instructor since 2015
Certification: 200 hr Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training, 185 hr Yin Yoga Teacher Training, Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training, Restorative Yoga Teacher Training
Random Fact: Loves to be upside down.
Shan started practicing yoga 9 years ago. When she was pregnant 7 years earlier, she had very little knowledge about what’s good and suitable for her body at that time and she continued practicing as usual. However, she realized that some poses actually made her condition worse. She began experiencing pain in her pelvis and realized that not many yoga teachers know which options to offer for pregnant women. She then took up her prenatal and postnatal yoga training and it made a major difference in both her pregnancies.
With this CET, she wants to share her knowledge on how she healed physically and emotionally from multiple childbirths (and loss) so we can empower more mamas or soon–to–be mamas on how to make a more informed decision with this knowledge in our yoga studio.
